Session 23




NOTES:
--Dropped slightly to a 68% success rate, but he made more attempts in this session than last session.

One thing you may want to try is setting your dog up with each attempt instead of doing a sorta post turn and sending your dog.With the failures you tend to just kept circling him around. He may not realize that he didnt get it correct because of the continuous flow until he gets it right. That would make the dog think that the whole sequence of events was correct and what you want him to do. I hope Im making sense. Diana

I understand what you mean.

I've been experimenting with this recently and it seems to take the wind out of his sails a bit -too- much. He becomes hesitant and isn't as enthusiastic about playing the game.

When he gets too crazy, I will grab him for a moment to let him calm down. But if I catch him physically after every mistake, he stresses a little (and continues to make the same mistakes, so it has no meaning to him).
